Nars Haul

swatch: Penny lane cream blush on the left, Talitha Lipgloss on the right

After seeing a lot of youtube videos and reading countless blogs about the nars sheer glow foundation I caved in and bought it. I went to sephora and the the sales woman matched me for Deauville, she applied it all over my face. It felt very light weight, yet it looked like a full coverage foundation. I really liked it, but i wasn't sure that it was a perfect match for my skin. The lightest color they carry in sephora is Siberia, and that was way to yellow for me. So I bought the foundation and went on my way. Well when I got in my car and looked in the visor mirror it was really noticeable between my jawline and my neck, but i talked myself into believing that maybe the lady just didn't blend it in properly. So the next morning I wore it to work and It was still not my color, it was so noticeable. I loved the coverage and the way it looked on my skin but I needed a different color. So it to Sephora and went on the Nars website and saw that there was a whole range of colors that sephora didn't cover for that foundation. So I hit locations tab, typed in my address and there was a store called Cosbar close to where I live. I called the store and asked if they had Mont Blanc (the second lightest color for the sheer glow foundation) she said "Yes we have one more left" i said " I will be there in forty minutes." So I drove like a mad woman to that store and I found parking right in front of it (see it was meant to be). The nice sales woman matched me to Mont Blanc. I had figured I would be that color most of the time I am always the second lightest shade in any foundation from any company. While I was there I checked out the cream blush Penny Lane from Nars (Lollipop26 raved about it.) I really loved that color so I bought that as well, and the lay was super nice and gave, yes gave me a Nars lipgloss in the color Talitha I think. I was so excited and happy that I found that cosmetics store. After I try out the foundations for a few weeks I will post a review.

Not quite Project 10 Pan.

I don't really want to commit to project 10 pan yet because I am really excited about the Mac to the Beach collection that is coming out in May. I have seen a few beauty gurus on youtube and some of them are participating in "Gloss Out 2010" Which basically means no purchasing of lipgloss for all of 2010 (at least that's what I understood). That really is a very great idea, I have so many lip glosses that I really have never used. So for now I am doing the "Gloss out 2010" and no makeup except for the Mac to the beach collection. SInce I have to be at work so early now. What can you give up and do without? What make up item/s do you have enough of that you can go at least a year, maybe two without buying?
